Harald Mieg is honorary professor for Metropolitan Studies and Innovation. He is affiliated with the Institute of Geography. From 2005 to 2010 he was the first director of the Georg Simmel Center for Metropolitan Studies. His special matter of concern is the support of the student research (research-based learning).
